The journey begins with a guided storytelling through the village, where every corner of the town comes alive with scenes depicting the birth of Jesus. From biblical vignettes to ancient crafts, Rupit transforms into a living and static nativity, a tradition that has awed people since 1987.
As i wander through a cold evening winding streets, i found people who are dressed in period and traditional attire, adding depth to the experience.
However, for me, it was more than just a historical reenactment. It was a glimpse into the life of artisans and creators of their time, showcasing the craftsmanship that once thrived. From shoemakers to tailors and blacksmiths, each scene painted a vivid picture of a bygone era, where skill and dedication shaped the fabric of daily life.
I couldn't help but reflect on the enduring influence of design and artistry. These artisans, working with dedication and precision, were not merely crafting objects; they were shaping the very fabric of daily life. Their work was a testament to the fusion of form and function, where every creation was both utilitarian and a work of art.
It was a very humbling experience, a reminder that as a designer, I am part of a long lineage of individuals who have infused beauty and purpose into the things 💫 Thank you for the people of the village who dedicated their energy , time and creativity to bring smile and a humble reminder to me and many others ,i'm sure!⭐️
