A guided visit to Barcelona Supercomputing Center , it is now #2 super computing centre in europe, #8 in the world 🌏 and #6 in the level of energy efficiency 🌿

I’m always SO fascinated by data, this is why i can spend hours in data exhibitions ; visualising details report after every project i made ; experimenting things with TouchDesigner using data , because i can turn this complex data into a simple and beautiful visualisation to be enjoyed ✨

The guided visit to me is like visiting raw data centre 🪻 it explained about the usage of big data for our everyday life and how it is used for good impact.

One of the usecase that i thought was amazing, was climate change analysis that is used for supply chain efficiencies and market needs prediction for retailers ; Another usecase that fascinate me is the social science , using big data to understand consumer behavior, improve medical personalisation and economic pattern for better humanity!

It is so called the most beautiful data centre in the world , because one of their data centre ( MareNostrum4 ) are stored under its chapel’s vaults …. Enough said 🥹💛

As always - data has been the raw material and technology like XR is a powerful tool for data visualisation in a form of experiences and interactions , made m thinking about using XR design skills to create immersive environments where data visualizations are not just viewed but experienced 🥹


Because experience hold a poweful effect in making complex things become more understandable, an when they are ;they will be encouraging action - an inspiration ✨
